Atlatl Press is currently accepting submissions indefinitely. If you sent something to us between November 2010 and now and haven’t received a response, that’s because we were closed to submissions and you failed at reading the guidelines. Failure can be a beautiful, forgivable thing. Feel free to resubmit. We are looking for well-written novels told with a unique voice. We will also consider short story collections and have a definite soft spot for flash fiction. Any word length will be considered although our “comfort zone” is between 20,000 and 40,000 words. We lean toward the offbeat and surreal (check out something we’ve published). No poetry unless it’s of the prose kind. Please allow up to 6 months for a response. Feel free to send your manuscript elsewhere in the meantime, but please let us know if it’s accepted. Send us a synopsis with the total word count and the FIRST 10 TO 15 PAGES OF THE MANUSCRIPT as a Word attachment. Bio is encouraged but optional. Send to Gregory Seymour at atlatlpress(at)yahoo(dot)com.
